Summary
Kate Sharma, Editor-in-Chief of Mayfair Books, is on the verge of deportation when her executive assistant and closeted gay best friend Benedict Bridgerton impulsively proposes a solution, they should get married. With immigration questioning the legitimacy of their sudden engagement, the two travel to Washington State to break the news to Benedict’s family during his older brother Anthony’s engagement celebration, only for Kate to discover the bride is her sister Edwina, who apparently forgot to mention she got engaged during her anthropology travels.
