Summary
Espio was excited, a rare feeling for the purple chameleon. Of course you can never really tell, what with that stoic mask he wears all the time. The only times he ever really lets it drop is when he’s around Vector and Charmy. Even then, those moments of true emotion making their way onto his face were few and far between.
So when Vector mentions something about the weather warming back up, and how the sky would be clear this week for some stargazing, Espio seems to take more interest in the conversation than usual.
OR
The crew plans on taking an evening to watch the sunset. But why is Espio acting so suspicious?

Christmas was a…foreign concept, to Espio.
Not to say he was unfamiliar with Christmas as a holiday, far from it. He was just…unsure how to participate himself. Growing up by himself would do that— years spent in orphanages and then on the streets, aware of the traditions but never actively participating, because it was never meant for him, not truly.
This year was different.

I'm so grateful you're my dad.Father's Day is coming up. Vector isn't Espio's father, but he is someone important to him. Espio wants to get him a card, but that would require showing his emotions– something he's been trained his whole life by his real father not to do.
But he can't help that the message on the card he finds at the grocery store somehow expresses everything he's been too afraid to say for years. Now if only he can work up the courage to give it to Vector...Series

Summary
Espio was out training, even though his new master, Vector, had said that he didn’t want him doing so without supervision. Ignoring his request altogether, he had decided to stir things up a little bit this session. He dipped a special type of poison onto the tip of each throwing star, setting a trap for himself. Typically, he would sneak as he usually did, and when he inevitably would trip the wires, he would dodge the weapons easily, but he must have grazed himself without realizing it.
Young Espio accidentally ends up hurting himself during a training session gone wrong, and can only communicate his feelings in a way that Vector had taught him, Sign language.
