Summary
The idea of Doll’s lifeless body haunted Lizzy day in and day out. There was nothing you could have done, they would say. You weren’t even there.
You could have stopped her though, said a small voice in the back of her mind. You saw her walk out the door.
The nagging thoughts tugged at her, too. What exactly happened to her? She was never told that. That… infuriated her. Why would nobody tell her how her best friend died?
Someone would tell you, if you asked, said the voice.
