    Summary

The group made their way over to the two Hylians, where the individual they had rushed to save was conversing with the newcomer. The newcomer was heavily scarred on his left side, and from the bow on his back, he was the archer who had brought down many of the monsters.

“Hello,” Time said, as he nodded to them. “Could you point us toward Castle Town?”

    The scarred man blinked. “Nanda?

The Heroes of Courage are spread across ages. Hundreds to thousands of years between them. It should come as no surprise that they are having some trouble communicating. But when they’re dropped in a world of alien technology and a language wholly unfamiliar, they really wish Hylia had thought ahead.

Or, the gang-meets-wild fic in which there is an appropriate amount of linguistic drift between Links, Hylia does not provide Google Translate, and Wild is a linguaphile among other things.

"But you've known him since you were both very little. You should know better than to fret about him!"

Link and Zelda live in Skyloft, a strange little island in the sky. They've known each other since they were five years old and have always looked out for one another. This is the story of what their life was like, and what they did before fate intervened and their world changed forever.

*** August 2025 Notes -- Please note that this fic has been updated from the original. Character names have changed as I am taking them out to put them in an original Story.

    Summary

“Well, we’re here now. We should do what we can to save everyone.”

Zelda nodded along with Link’s words. “You’re right. We’ll need to secure the champions and their Divine Beasts. But the guardians… they will need to be dismantled. They hold a greater threat than the beasts. And… there’s the matter of getting my past self to unlock her sacred power.”

    “And you unlocked yours when…”

“When I acted in love for you,” she finished, meeting his gaze. “We need to get our past selves to realize their feelings.”

“You’re saying we need to play matchmaker.”

    “Yes.”

    “For our past selves.”

    “Yes.”

He dragged a hand down his face. “We’re doomed.”

    ——————
Or: Post-ToTK Link and Zelda, happily married, are investigating a series of disappearances when they’re suddenly sent to before the Calamity. They take it upon themselves to save everyone from impending doom, which includes helping their past selves get along. It’s a lot easier said than done. Oh, and more people are disappearing. There’s that too.

    Summary

A work exploring the events that took place before the calamity- detailing Link's chaotic ascendance into the royal guard, his first meetings with each of the champions, Zelda, and the people who raised him. [Complete!]

"Link tossed the sword down. It stayed upright, embedded into the dirt and mud. He wanted to tell her just how desperately he’d wanted to reject it and put it back into its pedestal. The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.

He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything.

But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"
