For another night, the latest in a string he's lost count of, Simon wakes up in a sweat, heaving and breathless. Alone in the dark he can give in, and hold on to the tingle that lingers on his skin for as long as it'll stay. It's never specific. No fantasy or scenario. The depth of this, the way he wants is so much more than that.
Simon wants Johnny so badly it's a waking dream when it seems like he'll have his chance.

It just always stuck with him how wild it was that you could make jokes about being into something for so long that you actually end up into it.

Ghost wasn’t exactly the joking type. Those dry, god-awful jokes kept them alive in Las Almas but that was the extent of his direct humor. The most that Soap could get out of him on a normal day was playful banter and a few vulgar jabs here and there. That’s what made the jokes so funny when they started.
