Summary
The voice in his mind sounds just as tense as he feels right now: leave enough room to reverse out of here if you have to.
So he hits the brakes just as he shifts into reverse with a quick jerk of his hand. The car’s engine growls in agitation at the rough handling, but he manages to spin the steering wheel quickly enough to change directions and avoid being boxed in. He does clip the back panel of one of the sedans hard enough to send it peeling off into the roadside ditch from its high speed, but he counts that as a win.
The biggest problem is that he has no fucking clue where he is supposed to be going other than away from the guys shooting at him.
The second-biggest problem is that he has no fucking clue who he is, why he is here, or how he can do any of the things his body knows how to do without hesitation.

Summary
Ryland watches, on the verge of complete and utter hyperventilation, as the being inside of the glass ball raises two of its limbs to mimic his surrendering pose.
He stops breathing entirely with a startled whistle of a gasp.
The being lets out a single chirp in echo, its arms raised unflinchingly.
Blinking, Ryland raises one of his feet to stand on just one leg, wavering slightly from lack of balance. He watches with rapt interest as the little figure lifts another limb to copy him. It even sways side to side with a gentle shimmy to mimic Ryland's bad balance act.
"Holy Skittles," Ryland whispers.
(An AU oneshot where a pebble!Rocky visits Earth far earlier than expected in an attempt to fix Erid's Petrova Line, and he meets another set of pebbles.... the Coltland twins, aged twelve.)

Padding over to stand behind the chair, Casey drapes his arms over Court’s shoulders, hands clasped right at his heart, and kisses the neat head of burnished blond hair. He rests his cheek against the soft strands, as Court wraps one large calloused hand around Casey’s wrist.
Or, 3 times Casey acts like a cat, and 1 time he acts like a dog.

Summary

Summary
Courtland was still dressed in his suit when he came back into the bedroom. The party earlier was a bit bored. But still, seeing Grace drinking with his co-workers, laughing at Dani's joke, radiant as ever, gave Court a fuzzy feeling in his chest. He expected seeing his husband changing into his pajamas and ready for bed. But instead-
"You're not behaving yourself tonight."
Grace said to him, standing beside their bed. He's completely bared aside from his pale-blue shirt and his underwear, legs looking miles long. And of course, those God-damn shirt garters were still there, too. Court took a deep breath.
