His palms began to sweat as he shoved his phone back in his pocket. There was no way Robby wasn’t flagging. Why the fuck would he flag at work? Dennis felt the pit in his stomach grow as he stood and made his way to North 5, running through the worst case scenarios in his head. Did Robby know about his crush? Was he teasing Dennis? It didn't seem like him, but then again, what did Dennis know about Robby?
Well, he knew three things now. Robby liked men, and he flagged mustard yellow and hunter green on the left.

“MacGyver move. Go for it.” Robby approved of Al-Hashimi’s instruction. He left as quickly as he’d stopped by, leaving the new attending to continue overseeing the residents.
“Does a Doctor MacGyver work here?” Dennis asked curiously.
Mel looked just as lost. “I don’t know.”Or, Dennis hasn’t seen a lot of movies, so he doesn’t always understand Robby’s references. They work on that together.

And maybe it’s the fact that he spent the last three weeks thinking about the night Robby came back, and the absence that has burrowed a hole into his chest, and all the things he has wanted to say but didn’t have the time or the strength to, and the hunger, and Dennis’ ceaseless need to feel useful, maybe that’s what makes him say what he says next.
“You can take it out on me,” he says, almost surprising himself. Robby just looks baffled now, cocking his head and furrowing his brows. Dennis kind of hates how expressive he is sometimes. He continues anyways. “I mean, you can tie me up, do whatever you want to me. As… stress relief.”
“Is that what you want?” Robby asks, still not making eye contact.
“Yes,” Dennis says. He can barely get the word out.
