'What?'
'The Wild Hunt are coming.' His voice sounded strange, both Merlin's and not, as if something far older spoke through his lips. The words carried, seeming to drift through the mist, and Arthur saw Gwaine get to his feet, hurrying around the bed-rolls to rouse everyone.
'That's a myth,' Arthur said, trying to ignore the way his heart tripped into a faster beat and his fingers felt fat with panic. 'A story to scare people from wandering too far into the woods at night.'
Slowly, Merlin shook his head, seeming to blink back to himself as he struggled free of his bed-roll. 'No, it's not, and tonight, they ride.'

Except…Arthur still hasn’t made a confession about the other thing. That tricky little preoccupation with Merlin’s magic and all the ways it could make a mess of him.

Summary
Arthur's mother passed away when he was very young, and left him her vacation cottage in a quaint English village. The estate has been tied up in court proceedings between his father and his Uncle Agravaine ever since. Recently, the court made its decision and Arthur is free to take over Tintagel Cottage at last. The only problem? It's been practically abandoned for twenty years and needs a lot of work.
Merlin has a job that lets him work remote, and he agrees to help Arthur try to restore his mother's old cottage. It requires a lot of paint and some structural repairs, but its doable. The only problem? Being alone with Arthur for this long brings Merlin's old crush on him roaring back to life. Oh, and weird unexplainable things keep happening in the house.
