Shigeru shakes his head before Watari even finishes. "What would I even talk to him about?"
His hand drops down to his hip. Both of them know his Mark is right there, not quite the same as it was a few months ago. It started out as an oval, once upon a time, an oval filled in with yellow that rested low on his hip. Now a long, thin triangle extends out from the oval and curls around to his hip.
A lot of people meet their soulmates during the first week of high school. That's why his father has told him countless times to avoid situations where he meets a lot of people at once, just in case Shigeru causes more drama than absolutely necessary.
