“Billy, tell El how good you are at doing nails!” said Max.
Billy rolled his eyes. El probably thought he was like a fairy godmother at this point, giving her some sort of magical makeover. “I’m not actually that good.” he said, before pretending to whisper to El: “Max is just really bad, she makes me look better than I am.”
El gave a startled little giggle, and Billy decided to count that as a point to him. “I can do them for you if you want, but don’t expect too much.”

“I can’t see… I’m gonna go closer.” El moved even closer and nearly fell over when she saw who was lying with their head on Billy Hargrove’s stomach. “Oh my God!!”
