Anyone would have told Caitlyn to stop this exchange right here, that it was a breach of decorum to have this bold and crass American address her in such a way. Violet “Vi” Lanes is a hard working soon to be engineering student from Tallaght and while having a good head on her shoulders , she also has a lot of responsibility, between helping her dad run the Last Drop, and making sure Powder doesn’t blow up the school (or herself), as well as having a part time job at M&S on top of the stress of having to now juggle all of this along with a degree. Yet despite this she got 600 points in the leaving(the second time around) and armed with that and a SUSI grant, she seems to be off to a good start for the next four years.
Meanwhile Caitlyn Kiramman is getting back on track, a few years break and a diagnoses later,along with a few breakdowns she would rather forget. She’s gotten her PLC results and with 10 distinctions she’s not only gotten the highest marks but also got into Physics at trinity. She has started getting up and getting the 15 to get desensitised to the sheer chaos that is Dublin public transport in rush hour (which seems to be every hour), along with coming to the realisation that contrary to what Jayce had told her the 15 is about as reliable as he is, most of the time he’s great but punctuality is a different beast that neither Jayce or the bus have yet to tame.Bookmarked by firepound4eva

“Caitlyn,” she says. That isn’t right. That wasn’t the answer Vi was after. Names are easily given away but so seldomly remembered in Stillwater, but it echoes in Vi’s head. She almost doesn’t hear the actual answer. “And though I have no doubt a thousand people have given this answer before, I did nothing. I was doing my job, and then I was here. No trial. No sentencing. No crime to speak of.”
