A medicine cat's role was vital to a Clan's ability to thrive. Not only with their knowledge, but their sacred connection to the dead. Very few got the privilege of speaking to StarClan; yet a medicine cat spoke to them almost constantly.
Each connection is unique; a reflection of the cat who opens their ears to the stars. There was no easier way to tell how they felt about you than the way their messages formed.

Summary
SoMa Week 2020 - Day 1: Dare
Maka had often imagined how her weapon would be. She had always contemplated what could go wrong, too. But the one thing she had never considered was her current problem. Awkward silence. As it turned out, the only thing she and Soul shared was their incapacity to small-talk and a flat. Or that was until 'I Dare You', at least. Although she sometimes regretted the decision of ever introducing him to it.
Maybe they would learn to trust each other, with this stupid game she used to play with BlackStar as a kid.

Summary
After a mission goes astray and Maka gets injured, her "dignity" is called into question, causing Soul to fall into a self-inflicted mental spiral. Rationally, he knows he's done nothing wrong patching Maka up after she's been wounded, but a passing threat made by Harvar is enough to tip him over the edge. Suddenly, all the little "things" he's been purposefully ignoring over the years are at the forefront of his mind, and he isn't entirely sure he wants to be a Death Scythe if that means Maka's no longer his meister. But, co-dependency issues be damned because it's, unfortunately, a little too late to back out now, and he no longer has his brother's shadow providing him the perfect cover to run away.
