Summary
After a lengthy period of waiting, Qifrey opens the door - clearly attempting to do so as stealthily as he can - and freezes when he notices Olruggio.
Even ignoring the guilty, flushed expression on his face, he looks… disheveled. Leaves and twigs are stuck into his cloak at odd angles, his hair looks much more messy than fluffy, the basket he uses to gather plants is full of random, unorganized flowers, and his posture is unusually slouched compared to the pin-straight poses typical of him. He stares at Olruggio in shock.
"Ah," he manages. "Hello, Olly-"
"Geez. What the hell happened to ya, Qifrey?"

Qifrey felt himself fighting tears once again, "But I want… I want-" his voice shook and he moved back to Olruggio's shoulder, then he lifted his head and pressed a kiss into his neck, and then another one, "I want…" then another.
Before he could keep going, Olruggio stopped him, gently pushing him away and resting a hand on the side of his face, "I know. I do too. But not right now, okay? Give it time."
ie; The curse may have been removed from his body, but it still preyed on his mind.

(Qifrey thinks it must be some type of retribution. To be given something only for it to be taken away is a cruelty he knows well enough to inflict; a hat and a glyph, a glyph and a hat.)
Qifrey does not expect his rut to return so soon, rare as it is.

“Can you show me?” Qifrey asks, feigning just a little of his frustration. Running his fingers up and down his own neck only feels marginally less stupid than Olruggio lying isolated beside him, his want palpable.
“Show you?” Olly’s voice is thready.
“Yes,” Qifrey replies, tilting his head to look at Olly until his gaze is met. “I’ll follow you.”
