Summary
Maybe Max already knows, sees through Charles right to the roots. “You don’t want to know? Who it is, I mean?”
“No,” Max snaps.
Charles flinches. He feels raw, exposed, like everyone can see the blooms unfurling in his chest.
And then Max is turning to him and sliding a possessive hand around the base of his skull. He waits until Charles meets his eyes.
“They don’t matter.” His long fingers curl in to press at the hinge of Charles’ jaw. “You will make them fall in love with you. Or.” Max swallows, throat bobbing reflexively. He leans in so close they’re breathing the same air. “Or you’ll get over them. Maybe…maybe fall for someone else. Anything can happen.”
“Anything,” Charles echoes, feeling insane. Max doesn’t know. Max is jealous of himself.
Or, Charles and Max have an arrangement to hook up during race weekends; half the grid knows. Charles has hanahaki; hardly anyone knows he’s heartsick, much less who he's pining over. Not his family, not Ferrari, and certainly not Max.

Summary
“I’m kind of in a rush because I have a birthday party for a friend. I need a present, but he doesn’t really like music.”
The man’s bright smile fades. Max feels a tightness in his chest at the sight of that, but as the words he’s just said process in both of their minds, he realizes he’s probably got worse things to worry about than making this beautiful man smile.
God, he’s beautiful.
“I’m sorry. So, you need a present for a friend who doesn’t really like music and you came into a record store?”
---
OR: Max finds a way to give all his friends the gift of music (and it totally has nothing to do with the cute boy who works at the record store)

Summary
A little while later, Charles whispered, "My soulmate's an amazing artist."
Max almost choked in surprise. He turned to Charles again and Charles was leaning back in his chair, squinting into the telescope, which was pointed right up above him.
"Yeah?" Max managed to say.
Charles put down the telescope and nodded. "I used to get these really nice flowers on my skin. And really beautiful, intricate patterns. I loved them. I took them as little gifts from my soulmate to me."
"That's nice," Max smiled. He hadn't imagined it would make him so happy that Charles liked his little skin drawings.
"They've stopped, though." Charles absentmindedly ran his fingers over his arm. "I don't know why. Maybe they got busy. I hope they're fine."

Summary
After a month of living in the U.K. Oscar was eating lunch all by himself in the school cafeteria, he did not have any friends, he had lost most of his contacts to Australia as no one really answered him anymore, he was being mocked for his accent and he had told absolutely no one about it.
Life was going great.

Summary
Kimi Antonelli was in love. Had been, actually, for quite some time, since Ollie and he had first shared a team. He had honestly believed that time apart, in different teams and with their new worries brought by the huge step they had taken into Formula One, together, though Kimi was trying to forget that, would be enough to drive the infatuation away. It hadn't.
When desperation got louder than anything else, Kimi went in search of the mature opinion of his teammate. George Russell, like the Brit that he was, gave him one brilliant idea: write Ollie a letter telling him everything Kimi was feeling and then burn it. Max Verstappen told him that was bullshit, and yet, Kimi really is that in love.
The only problem was that Kimi never quite got the heart to get rid of it. And, naturally, it ended up in the only hands it shouldn't.
