He’d grabbed it fearlessly, brazenly, so tenderly, and said, “Mr. La Mancha, have faith in what Master Huaiyan and I made for you.” Yingxing had smiled, and the dim light of the embers in the Flamewheel Forge glowed like sun on his snowy hair and danced in his purple eyes, reflecting La Mancha’s grim expression. Yingxing had threaded their fingers together, and even dared to caress one of the nails piercing La Mancha’s wrist with his thumb. “I am not afraid.”
“Even if the events of my past had not happened, I would have been destined to die before you.”
Blade speaks so impassively, as if it’s just a matter of course, and yet Ashveil has neither the heart nor the mind to show Blade the pang his words send lancing through his chest. Perhaps so. Perhaps he’s right.
Still, Ashveil ignores it, and Blade lets him.

Thwarted by nontransferable hotel reservations wasn't exactly the stuff of Trailblazing legend. It didn't make for a great beginning. It made for a worse ending. Even Akivili would have tsked at such a bland turn of events.
But that wasn't why Caelus was in the running for Worst Nameless Ever.

Summary
Standing, Dan Heng drains the rest of his drink with a graceful sweep of his arm. The glass is on the counter in front of Caelus, ice clinking as it shifts, before he realizes that Dan Heng has returned to his end of the bar.
“Even if I must cross every mountain and valley on my own two feet,” Dan Heng says. He places his arm over his heart and inclines his head in a deep bow, “I will bring you home.”
Caelus blinks.
“Okay…?”
Dan Heng searches through several lifetimes to find Caelus and bring him home.
