basically a concept where the world is a maintained simulation or website, and covid was actually an excuse to take some people somewhere else, and those who 'survived' are just abandoned there on Earth to rot. The code, sitting there for 6+ years has started to malfunction and bugs are getting in... and shit hits the fan.
Idea bc who else noticed the huge impact of covid on our tech? We're on our phones 24/7 atp...
