Summary
mizi
you wonder how much of it came from your desire to hurt yourself rather than hurt your mother but anyway here you are bent over the sidewalk, corpse at your feet and you’re wondering if it will be the last death at your hands (it won’t) and you’re choking down spit and anger and you might as well be eating your tears with how they well up, hot and miserable and bothersome on your lips and chin. -

Picture this:
Robin’s flowing cape in the wind, bright and reflective, not like the shadows that perpetually cling to the Batman and not a strain on the eyes like the Bat-Signal, but harsh like the stars you’d both be able to see if the light pollution in Gotham was any lesser, more or less the lamplight that mocks the sun: this is the only flag you love.

Summary
Years later, Lexi finds your high school yearbooks in a dusty box that belonged to Rue (god knows why she kept them) and sure enough, there’s bright-pink-haired Cassie, and three pages later a black-brunette you. You’ve got silver tinsel in your ponytail and shimmery eyeshadow to match and you admire the audacity little-you had, managing to look as unimpressed as you did.

Summary
Mike drops Michael off at her place on the outskirts of town, trying to ignore the blaring, cheesy lyrics and how well they slot into her own life right now, oddly enough—something about giving someone your heart for Christmas. Gift idea, Mike thinks giddily. Michael would love her heart, all wrapped up and sent. And apparently her kidney.

Summary
“A long time ago, I loved someone,” Rio begins, making eye contact with the rest of the coven. Agatha can feel her heart thundering in her chest at an accelerated rate. She already knows where this is going, but she’s frozen in place, unable to stop the words from continuing to come out of Rio’s mouth. “And I had to do something I did not want to do, even though it was my job. And it hurt them. She is my scar.” She feels her face burn at the implication, at the memory of what had ended things between them so abruptly all those years ago. The thoughts are dizzying over the reminder of that betrayal.
Or, Agatha and Rio share an intensely intimate moment after years of longing, grief, and pain have culminated between them (an extension/fix-it of Episode 4, if you will!)

Summary
He caught Dick's look at him from the corner of his eye. “He's still mad at me for kicking him out—twice—when,” and Dick floundered and sighed and that was remarkable in of itself. “When the other Roy Harper was here.”
“Oddly enough I did pick up on his irritation about that,” Roy said, because now every time Ollie saw Dick, he started up on it again.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Dick, if I thought you could handle it I would propose right now,” and he rolled them over, pinning Dick's hands against the bed. If Dick really wanted to leave, he still easily could. “I'm going to tell you I love you until you believe it. Then I want to marry you. It's been twenty years. I get it, okay? We've fucked up. We've done awful things together and separately, to other people and each other.”

Summary
“Jay Morgan, thirty years old, registered foster parent, approved for emergency placements.”
“…Foster parent?” Jason repeated, incredulous.
“Mr Thomas has been placed under your care effective immediately,” Laura continued, flipping a page. “Temporary arrangement pending review. I’ll be conducting regular home visits, both scheduled and unscheduled, so I strongly advise you to ensure the premises remain suitable.”
She stepped forward. Close enough that Jason had to shift back a half-step or get bowled over entirely by this woman who was at least two heads shorter than him, and in doing so, she brought the kid—Duke—with her.
“Hey—no, hold on a second—”
OR:With Batman gone, Gotham is falling apart. But Jason has bigger problems. Like this kid who just got dumped on his doorstep due to a case of mistaken identity. What was his name again? Oh yeah. Duke Thomas.
(Shut up Tim! Jason did not have Bruce's adoption disease!)

“You’re not making any sense, bud. Come on, loop me in, here. What’s going on?”
Tim laughs. It’s a jaded sound, bitter and flat, but it morphs at the end into something closer to delirious. It doesn't sound anything like him. Something is wrong with Tim. “Loop. That’s the problem. Over and over and over and over and over and---- --
