Which is why it was weird when Shannon showed up to the farmers market on a day he would never forget. She’d handed Christopher to him and sat his bag down on the ground in the stall and told Buck she’d be back, needing to talk to Chris’s grandparents and she didn’t want Chris there for it. Which was fine with Buck, he knew that their relationship was a little rocky.
That they were her husband's parents, her husband that was deployed overseas. So he didn’t really ask any questions.

Summary

Summary
Buck has always struggled with his dyslexia but he was always able to hide from most of the people in life so he didn't face any teasing or discrimination.
Now Chimney is captain, Bobby is retired, and Buck and Eddie have gotten together. So that means paperwork has to filed out. Which causes Buck's big secret is discovered, and some people don't react in best way.
But at least Eddie is there to help him feel safe.

“C’mon, Buck. Let’s go.” Eddie said, coming up behind him and clapping him on the back.
Buck cracked one eye open and turned to look at his best friend. “Huh?”
“You’re coming home with me,” Eddie replied, not even looking at Buck as he opened his own locker and started pulling out things to shove into his duffle bag. “You have spare clothes and everything else you need to spend the night already at the house. I’ll bring you back here tomorrow so you can get your car.”
Buck hummed in answer, too tired to come up with words for a proper reply.
