Summary
Even among trashy harem power fantasy novels, Proud Immortal Demon Way took the cake for having its protagonist literally objectify people—that is, as a Heavenly Demon, Luo Binghe had the power of turning people into weapons, willingly or otherwise! Either way, they disappeared into an innumerable collection headlined by Xin Mo, the blade Luo Binghe made out of his scum villain shizun Shen Qingqiu, and that he brutally dominated until its spirit faded into nothing.
When Shen Yuan unwillingly takes on the role of Shen Qingqiu—well, maybe he can’t avoid his ultimate fate as a sword, but he can still try to make it a little less painful for everyone involved.

It’s as Shen Qingqiu crushes the last little fluttering Iridescent Gem Beetle that the mother decides to introduce herself by burrowing up out of the earth like a cicada the size of an elephant. He just barely has time to resign himself to an even more exhausting fight than the last one - with no rest point in between to chug stamina potions or anything! Honestly, what poor game design! - when the stranger appears.
He charges into the scene out of nowhere like an absolute bullshit deus ex machina, all dark, flowing hair and robes, whirling around to stab at the Mother Beetle with a gleaming white sword, making it screech and rear back in pain. Seriously, Shen Qingqiu feels like he’s suddenly trapped in a video game cutscene introducing the new companion! Where’s the background music and camera close up? Who is this guy?

Shen Qingqiu happens to meet a mysterious stranger on the road, but he surely isn't important or relevant to the plot in the slightest.

Generally, Shen Qingqiu only visits him at work when he’s really got something to yell about—protagonist dick size or sex pollen caves or weird poisons that Shang Qinghua forgot to invent cures to, or something. Today, he says, “Look, there’s news and I thought you should hear it from me.”
Shang Qinghua doesn’t look up from his papers at first. “Okay, sure,” he says, absently—how much money are they spending on incense again? Absolutely fucking absurd—and glances up when Shen Qingqiu remains silent. “What is it?”
Shen Qingqiu folds the fan and taps it nervously against his palm. “Mobei-jun’s getting married,” he says.

Summary
Once, not so long ago, there was a little house on a little hill in a little town nestled quietly in a not-so-little wilderness. The little house had stood there for quite some time, but the front had recently been renovated into a shop.
Inside the house, past the shop, and in the rear kitchen sat a young boy poring over a large ledger that lay open on the big kitchen table. A luminous being hovered by his shoulder, looking on as the boy wrote down careful numbers in each of the columns.
Or: that one where Shen Yuan gets transmigrated into the NPC Fairy Helper (and con artist), Shen Qingqiu, in an indie Item Shop sim and has to engineer a new ending that doesn’t end with him getting his wings ripped off. Meanwhile, young Luo Binghe -budding shopkeep, unwitting scam victim, and the titular character of ‘Luo Binghe’s Little Shoppe of Curiosities’- has a new best friend and he can’t WAIT to see what mysterious adventures await them!
