“I miss you, Lily,” Haewon admits, voice low. I loved you, is what she doesn’t say. I think I still love you. She didn’t say it then, so she doesn’t feel Lily deserves it now.
Lily’s lips part in surprise. Her breath hitches. She can’t think that Haewon wouldn’t miss her, could she? Haewon doesn’t know how it’s possible. It’s practically pouring out of her at any moment in time— this thick, sticky longing for Lily that she doesn’t know what to do with. It has been since the day they met.

Summary
There's a convenience store a few blocks from Haewon’s bus stop. It's technically in the wrong direction—technically not the closest to her apartment, either, but the closer option requires walking past her apartment and down another block, which feels worse somehow. She'd rather stop on the way home, even if it means walking a block in the wrong direction.
She likes to stop and eat before she gets home. She likes the twenty minutes of peace and quiet somewhere that isn't her dark, empty apartment, somewhere that feels marginally less lonely but devoid of the stresses of her everyday, devoid of the weight of academia and the smoke of the gogijib.
She likes Lily, too.
Or: Oh Haewon falling apart and falling in love.

Summary
Haewon had developed a bad habit, one that was getting progressively worse: she couldn't stop looking at Lily.
She was doing an awful job of hiding it too. It's not like she was the only one that looked at Lily though - everyone in the group adored her.
But are all looks created equal, or was there something else slowly simmering behind Haewon's eyes?

Summary
Free from any cameras and too tired to care about it either way, Haewon lets out an unfiltered snort. “I thought you moved on.”
Their eyes hold each other in the reflective glass, neither wanting to let go. Lily’s lower eyelids twitch up momentarily, her eyes narrowing with something that Haewon can almost read. But as soon as it’s there, it’s gone, and Lily can only hope that Haewon can read between the lines on her face.
I never move on. Not from you.
Or, Lily has loved Haewon quietly for 8 years, and decides she's ready to love her loud.
