    Summary

It starts with the cracked pavement, littered with oil stains from the litany of beat-up cars that had parked there. Up on the gas station awning, there's a buzzing LED sign that’s gone half dark. When he inhales, sharp , the air is dry, dusty with the song of a coming monsoon.

Beyond the clear swinging glass doors, florescence lighting beckons him into the store. Inside, where the smell of cold coffee and clean tile is overwhelming, where soda slush spills out into the floor, where cigarettes lay locked behind a rounding counter in the center of the store.

Behind the counter, as always, is the cashier, with bright eyes and a dingy uniform and dark hair shorn short on the side. And always, she smiles when she sees him.

"Hey, soldier," she says. "Long day?"

    Summary

Written for the Wyllstarion Solstice Swap. In a fantastical version of London, Wyll Ravengard is on the case. Mysterious disappearances have plagued a local club, and he's the right man for the job—due in no small part to his angelic origins. Might the gorgeous, otherworldly Astarion know more than he's letting on?

    ~*~

Wyll is an angel, of sorts. At least that's what he thinks—he's never met another angel before and he wouldn't know where to find one. But there are other...different folk living in London, as there are in all major cities. Werewolves, devils, faeries, vampires, hags, and more. It's very rare to run into any, of course. They all stick to the shadows, to their own kind. But Wyll's never met one of his kind...

    Summary

How humiliating it is, wanting a prince, a hero, a godsdamned monster hunter to put him in his place, when he’s finally supposed to be free. What, exactly, does it say about him that he’d barely been free of Cazador for a week when he’d started imagining the Blade of Frontiers as his new master? Why is this where his thoughts always go, when he’s lying in his tent waiting for the others to fall asleep before he sneaks off to hunt? (Why is it that sometimes, in the afterglow of the fantasies of Wyll shoving him to his knees and brutally taking his pleasure, he imagines soft, chaste kisses and a hand gently taking his?)

Astarion's plagued by embarrassing fantasies about the Blade of Frontiers putting him in his place. He only gets more embarrased when his tadpole gives Wyll a glimpse of said fantasies.
