    Instead of dodging, Wei Wuxian gets hit with the book that Lan Qiren throws at him. Somehow, this changes a lot more things than one would think.
    Lan Wangji is shocked to find that he does not actually like to see this outcome, and that his uncle is going a little far with his anger towards this pupil that...turns out to be actually really nice?

    Confusion all around for Lan Wangji. There's hurt WWX, pining LWJ, the waterborn abyss, Lan Qiren not being the best uncle ever but he's trying, ...and we fix the world by our bois getting together earlier.
