The bad scrapes they’d barely made it out of and badass underground parties that they occasionally make it out to. The “this is so insane it can’t be true” stories of firefights won and Dracs dusted.
And now, two of the subjects of those infamous stories are right here in front of you, asking for your name and watching you with knowing eyes and an air of—something—about them that you can’t quite put your finger on. Fearlessness, maybe. Danger, most certainly. They seem overbright, like you could feel the crackle of radiation off them if you paid close enough attention.
