Summary
Dick gets fired from being Robin. And he quits, sort of. Regardless, Gotham can’t be his home anymore. Bruce and Dick have never been father and son without being Batman and Robin, not really. Dick doesn’t feel like they know how. Dick spends a summer leaning on his friends and trying to figure out what to do while trying to reconcile the fact that the place he was promised isn’t there anymore. Also, he’s pretty sure he’s in love with his best friend, which is entirely unhelpful.
It’s messy, it’s complicated, it’s them figuring it out.

“Because he’ll be our guest?” Shane raised an eyebrow.

“No, Ryan and Fabian are coming this weekend.” Ilya corrected.
“No… this weekend is Troy and Harris.”
“Look, I put it on the calendar.” Ilya said, pulling out his phone. “See, it says ‘visit’ with a little pride flag.”
“I thought that was Troy and Harris!”
“Why would that be Troy and Harris?” Ilya said, bewildered.
“Because they’re also gay?” Shane said, exasperated.
“I would put a pride flag and an apple for them.” Ilya shrugged. “Or like a hockey puck or something.”

Summary
Scott watched as Hollander leaned in, further, to hear Rozanov. This was the part that didn’t entirely make sense to him. The missing piece of something that felt like it was just beyond his reach. This was quiet ease and small moments of comfort and a look that makes the rest of the world fade away. This was how he felt with Kip.
Scott stilled.
It was as if someone had whispered it in his ear. It was as if the final piece of this insane, deranged puzzle finally clicked into place. His heart was pounding in his ears. He was probably wrong. In fact he was entirely wrong. This wasn’t like him and Kip. It couldn’t be Kip. Scott had been watching too many romantic comedies. His head was in the clouds.
But they weren’t touching.
Hollander and Rozanov were as close as they could be, without laying a single finger on one another. They were specifically, rigidly, separate. The warmth between them was bridled. Entirely. And this, Scott realized, his heart sinking into the floor, was also how he had felt with Kip.
Oh. Oh fuck.

“How did I know what?” Ilya asked.
“That Shane was gay." Hayden stared at a spot on the table.
“Well, he really liked sucking my-”
“Stop.” Hayden put a hand up. “No. I mean, obviously then you knew, but I mean… before that. How did you know?”

“It’s one of your superstitions, right?” Hayden asked. “Like my hat. It’s your good luck shirt.”
Shane felt a chill run down his spine.
He hadn’t thought anyone would notice. In truth, he’d barely noticed himself. It wasn’t something he was actively doing. It wasn’t like his weight circuit or his diet or his night routine. It wasn’t meditation or yoga or cross-training. Those were all things he did with meticulous, painstaking purpose. This was just… this was something else. This wasn’t thought driven. If he was being honest, it barely had to do with hockey. It maybe was one of the only things in his life that didn’t have to do with hockey. If he was stressed, he wore the shirt and it made him feel a little bit better. It just so happened that most of the time he was stressed about something to do with hockey. That was it. It was just a feeling.
A feeling of calm that came from Ilya Rozanov’s shirt.
OR: Shane accidentally wore Ilya's shirt back to the hotel after it things started to feel Too Real. What if he kept the shirt?

“I thought Ilya was, like, the man here,” Hayden motioned. Something suspiciously sounding like Jackie’s voice in the back of his brain told him that wasn’t the right wording, but he was too tired and already too buzzed to care. Besides, this was Shane, he didn’t need to say the perfect thing. Shane knew what he meant.
Scott shifted. “They are both men, Hayden” he said very formally. Hayden suddenly felt like his dad was lecturing him.
Hayden sighed. “No, Shane, you know what I mean.”
Shane’s brow furrowed in concentration. “Like, because I bottom?” He said, slightly embarrassed.
Scott’s steady gaze on Hayden suddenly turned very sharp.
“No!” Hayden started. “Well, maybe? I don’t know how that works. I just mean, like, you’re real gay and Ilya likes women, right?”

Summary
Lachlan Pucey joins the Montreal Metros as a rookie with all eyes on him. After a year spent in the AHL, developing and preparing for his NHL debut, he's not going to let anything distract him from playing the best hockey he can and proving to everyone watching that he's just as good of a player as his old man was and his big brother is.
Hank Crawford is a second round draft pick that comes into the league after two years playing the college circuit. He's got no one's expectations to live up to save for his own, but there's a lot riding on him making a name for himself in Montreal. It's the best day of his life when Shane Hollander calls to invite him to training camp in September, bar none.
Lachlan and Crawford are fast friends. Hard not to be when they have so much in common, when it's so easy to kill an afternoon hanging out and playing video games beside each other on the couch. When it starts to feel like the only deep breaths they're able to take are the ones they take when they're side by side, on the ice or at home or out in the city.
They're fast friends. Good friends. Best friends. That's all they can be; hockey is everything else.

Troy Barrett is a better person now. Out, proud, and outspoken, he's completely turned his life around for good. He has great friends, a good team, and a wonderful boyfriend. He's going to prove to the world he's turned a new leaf and he's going to make amends with the people he's been a dick to.
Shane Hollander doesn't want to be a stop on the Troy Barrett Apology Tour, no matter how good of a person he is now.
