She turns to where Fitz stands in the door, leaning against the frame. His face is open, easy, as though he has not a care in the world. She likes this look on him. She has enjoyed getting acquainted with it again.
“Here we are,” she confirms, one hand on the growing expanse of her stomach, as it has been for however long she has been up here. It’s a position that she assumed automatically, just as she had done with Alya, and it’s become so that she can’t imagine ever having not done it.
Love's a funny thing. With their second child on the way, Jemma wonders about it a lot. Future fic.
