"Maybe I should slap you," Yuji says weakly.
"So you don't want to kiss me either?" Megumi asks.
Yuji bites his lip and whispers, "I never said that."
"So you'd let me?" Megumi's hands slide over Yuji's where they rest on his thighs. "If I took your hands and looked you in the eye and told you that you're beautiful, would you let me kiss you?"
Yuji knows as soon as he looks up that it's a mistake. Because there is no universe where Fushiguro Megumi could get on his knees in front of him, ask him for a kiss, and Yuji would say no.
