Kojiro won’t look at him, and Kaoru is too confused to be annoyed by it, pulling out a mint green envelope from the dozens of various envelopes like it contained within the box.
“It’s every confession I was too much of a coward to give you,” Kojiro says, and Kaoru drops the paper.
Even after everything, there are things left to say. Some of them have been a long time coming.

Summary
So, this is fun. Sitting in a car with his best friend who has shot straight past pre-heat right into a full-throttled heat in the span of fifteen minutes is great. Definitely on the short list of Kojiro’s top life experiences. Definitely something he wants to experience again. Or, you know, would want to experience again if he were a complete masochist.
Kaoru came to him because he trusts him. The last thing Kojiro wants to do is violate that trust. But breathing shallowly through his mouth isn’t helping as much as he’d like; he keeps gulping down that scent, and it’s so fucking good, so fucking delicious. He wants it on his tongue.
When Kaoru's heat strikes unexpectedly at S, Kojiro helps him out, as friends do.

When Yuri walks into his favorite pizza place after a horrible day, the place smells like normal pizza, not like pizza from the hands of a god. The thing is, Yuri's not good at taking no for an answer.
TW: Deals a bit with trauma/thought processes of someone working on recovering from an ED, but while they wrestle internally, they do continue to move forward in progress. Summary
