When he's hurting or preoccupied with something, Lan Zhan enjoys taking a cold bath, and Wei Ying, despite his firm belief that "enjoys" is an overstatement, is always happy to help.
“Honestly, I don’t know how you do it.” Wei Ying pours some fancy salts into the bath and, shivering, gives the water a swirl with his hand. “Brr!” He’s adding the bath salts like a chef; the only thing he hasn’t done is taste the water, and that’s probably because he thinks it’s too cold to properly enjoy.
Lan Zhan levers him a severe look, then levers himself up, using the counter for balance on one side and stubbornness on the other, until Wei Ying abandons the bath, appears at his side, and grabs his elbow with a cold, wet hand. “Wei Ying!”
“Ah, I didn’t mean that!”—it’s fine, the junction between their hands warms up fast—“Let’s get you soupy.”

Summary
Lan Zhan wasn’t sure why he’d asked Nie Huaisang, of all people, to help him out with his dilemma, but he didn’t have any other ideas. It wasn’t like he could ask his brother. Lan Huan would first, die laughing, and second, tell him to use his words and be sincere. His inability to do the first made the second impossible. So Nie Huaisang it was.
Lan Zhan really wants to ask out his hot co-worker, but his own words fail him. Therefore, he will borrow someone else's.
