“So, how’s your boyfriend?” Seungkwan asks, peeling the label off the plastic box of cake from the bakery down the street as Soobin takes a seat on the couch next to him.
“Yeonjun? Hyung, I told you we already broke up last week-” Soobin starts.
“Not him,” Seungkwan cuts him off, waving his fork in the air. “You know, your actual crush. The blonde guy who always stares at you like you have stars in your eyes? The one you told me is so annoying but hot? From editing?"
Soobin takes a second to think. The realization hits him harder than it should.
“Beomgyu?”

Beomgyu has feelings. Soobin has them too, but apparently it’s easier to beef with your crush than actually talk to them. It’s not until the people around them tell them that they realize they’ve been idiots.

What's more frustrating than forbidden love? And what's more unfortunate than it as well? Two gumihos fell in love with each other when the world and the gods ruling it were not happy about it. One of the immortal beings was reduced to black ashes and the other was made to go on with his life alone and forever.
Finally fate takes pity on them and past gumiho Beomgyu is reborn as a human after nearly a thousand years. As if to fulfill his past wish, he falls in love with a gumiho in this life too. However it's not Yeonjun, his past lover that he loves at present but Choi Soobin, Yeonjun's housemate.
