“You know, I have this term.”
“Do you?”
She nods, her curls moving with her. She has a tequila soda in hand, something about no calories and no sugar so it’s better for hangovers being her reasoning for it. It’s not particularly good. But it keeps her hands busy, and her mouth flirty. Which really…is kind of a problem. But Abbott. Jack, is holding a beer in one hand, and he’s in jeans, and a sweater…which she’s never seen on him before. She supposes the air is a bit brisk tonight, and the sweater stretches over his shoulders just so. His sleeves are rolled up at his elbows, and her mouth went a little dry paying attention to it, and really, well, he’s not even supposed to be here. She was strong armed into some sort of absurd “going away” party. Victoria was to blame, and Dennis is a far too easy mark, so she knows how that conversation must have gone. Trinity likes to pretend she’s a hard ass, but really, her and Mel got roped into this just as easily…..and well Abbott….there’s no reason for him to be here. And yet.
Here is he. Right in front of her. Again. Always. Finding her in a room instantly.
“Orbiting.”

“Hey, you need me to come back in? I just saw the news about the water slide accident,” Jack said roughly. His voice was thick with exhaustion, and Samira could hear the heavy chug of his truck engine in the background.
Not home yet.
Samira swallowed hard, but instead of words, a needy, demanding whine tore from her throat.
Jack growled in response, a low and protective sound that cut through the line as the truck's engine revved in sympathy. Another wave of slick left her body, making her squirm ruthlessly in the wheelchair.
“Talk to me. What’s wrong?” Jack demanded.
“I think,” she barked out, her voice dropping into a raspy, unhinged register as she leaned away from Joy’s watchful eyes, “I think it’s a breakthrough heat. Bring me my pills. Now, Jack. Please.”
Or, When a sudden mid-shift heat forces Jack to take Samira home, she must finally give into her instincts. It awakens a fierce Alpha side Jack thought he had buried long ago.
