Won’t you enlighten me as to why you addressed such a letter to me?” Lucifer's heart stopped in his chest. “What was your intention?”
Lucifer gets drunk and writes a love letter to Diavolo to get it all out of his system. Through a series of unfortunate events, the letter ends up getting published by Mephistopheles.

Wriothesley feels ashamed of all his scars; he sees them as nothing but a shameful reminder of all his past failures. Neuvillette was a firm believer of the opposite; he sees them as a testament of strength and tenacity.
TLDR: Wriothesley wakes up during midnight, feeling absolutely shitty about his scars. He's in a desperate need of a smoke to placate the growing discomfort within him. Neuvillette finds another way to placate this discomfort. A much more pleasurable way.
