Summary
She was a mortal spy forged in the fire of war-clever, stubborn, trained by the very man she swore to undermine. He was a general without a crown, blood-soaked, brilliant, and bent on reclaiming everything he'd lost.
After the events of The Queen of Nothing, peace is uneasy in Elfhame. And when Madoc returns to the shadows, one spy is sent to infiltrate his cause and destroy it from within.
But what begins as a deadly game of cat and mouse twists into something far more dangerous. He knows her lies. Her moves-because once, he might've taught her every last one of them. She knows his ruthlessness, his pride, his hunger for control-and maybe even how to break him.
Court politics, shifting loyalties and forbidden longing intertwine in a story of enemies forced too close, until the line between hate and desire begins to blur. There are blades drawn in back rooms, secrets whispered in shadows, and eyes that burn too long across war tables.
Can you truly betray a man whose hands you crave on your skin? And what happens when the enemy stops feeling like one?

Summary
You were way in over your head.
After returning from the underworld Dante had introduced his suddenly not-so-dead twin brother to you. You probably shouldn't have made a move on Vergil, but then you would have missed out on so much very, very good stuff...
And died. You probably would have died too.
-----
“Why did you do it?”, Vergil asked quietly.
You sighed heavily. “Because I wanted to”, you whispered honestly.
“And you still do”, he replied, not as a question, but as a fact. Of course, he must smell it all over you.
“Yes”, you admitted.I suck at summaries, that's why I keep changing this one, sorry! Post DMC5

Summary
You loved Vergil, you knew that, he knew that. So, why did this have to be so hard? You thought that, as soon as all was out in the open and you would be something close to an actual couple, things would get easier.
Apparently, you had been very, very wrong. And, apparently, having a vengeful freak chase after your lover didn't help the situation either.

“Do you remember”, you started, your nose brushing his, “after I told you that I love you, you said you would have given me anything, back when you were still a demon king?”
“I said I could have given you anything”, he replied, a coldness in his voice that did not match the fire in his eyes. “An important distinction.”
You closed your eyes, your forehead touching his. “You also said that you were unable to be without me”, you whispered. “That you wanted to be with me, even if you could not love me.”
“Things change”, Vergil said simply and pushed you back into your seat.

Summary
You could feel his gaze on you, your face at first, then the notebook in your lap, back to your face. He said nothing.
'How on brand for him', you thought bitterly.
Finally, you managed to shake yourself out of your strange shock and staggered to your feet, his journal still in your hands. You let your eyes travel up his form, gratefully noting that he seemed unharmed.
His eyes were still on the journal.
“You can say such beautiful things”, you whispered then, tears evident in your voice. “How come you never said any of them to me?”
