Dean’s need to deny his (mutual) feelings for Sam lead to him being a jerk in front of the wrong supernatural being, who leaves him with a fuck-or-die curse that Dean can’t seem to satisfy - until an increasingly frantic Sam realizes he’s the only one who can. And the curse isn’t done yet… Sam happens upon an old stone church on a hill and tells their not-very-believable story to a surprisingly empathic priest, looking for absolution – not for their love but for all the unfortunate things that happened while they were busy denying it.
