"....whatever. Do what you want." It was very much not 'whatever.' Kris hadn't seen that look on Susie's face since she pinned them to the locker.
But Kris shoved it all aside, maybe even Ralsei did too. If he noticed, he didn't make any sign of it. Compartmentalizing was useful skill after all.

Summary
In another universe, one of medieval times with dark eldritch horrors lurking just under the surface, Kris is adopted off the street by the Dreemurr family. Their relatively peaceful existence is upended when they are sacrificed to the demon prince, Ralsei, and wind up in the Dark World. With Ralsei guiding them, they set out into a world of strange horrors, befriending great eldritch beasts as they journey. With such monstrosities at their side, they are set on returning to the Light World...and finding retribution.
