Summary
Jean Kirschtein is an MP who's looking to get transferred into the Royal Guard. He's doing an excellent job, but there's only one roadblock left: a final assignment to test his mettle. He'll be going to the underground on a joint mission with the Survey Corps, a regiment he's not particularly fond of. There, he meets Erwin, an enigmatic man with an agenda, and a slippery thief who can't seem to escape Jean's mind. As he learns, this thief has his own worries, and a family to feed.
OR: Jean is an MP who wants to get promoted. He goes underground for a mission and meets Eren, who's a raider. Eruri is a background ship.

If there's always one thing each person is always good at, then persevering was Zanka's forte from the earliest years of his life.

He kept going through every disappointment, every mistake a learning experience, every shortcoming a call for more discipline and self control.
And even if his concept of how to keep on forward might be just as damaging as the constant fighting against the odds, it didn't matter.
He would keep pushing - for his sake, and for his sake.What happens though, when just once the outcome is truly outside of his control?
No matter the amount of work, he can't change a thing.But time can.

After Amo's rescue, Tamsy makes an effort to grow closer to the members of Team Akuta, but ends up catching the eye of a certain man named Enjin. His attempts to maintain distance fail miserably after Enjin continuously finds him at the worst moments and some how says all of the right things to have Tamsy lowering his guard.
...Alternatively, just a stereotypical Tamjin fic with a sprinkle of Omegaverse and a dash of health issues.
