Summary
The war is over but everyone who survived is left with scars. Hermione has been appointed to the role of Head Girl for their optional eighth year at Hogwarts. While struggling to come to terms with the immense trauma she’s lived through, she finds herself in shared quarters with her Head Boy partner, Theodore Nott. In an unexpected turn of events, Hermione is comforted by the Slytherin who is surprisingly adept at handling her persistent panic attacks. The presence of Draco Malfoy in her life becomes synonymous with Theo Nott as the two seem to be a packaged deal. As life unfolds she finds that Malfoy no longer holds the malice he once did towards her. The three of them find themselves in a unique position as they find common ground in both trauma and healing.

What happens when the "Golden Trio" isn't the one you remember?
In 2004, six years after the war, Harry, Hermione, and Draco are finished playing by the rules of a broken system. Fueled by cold spite and a refusal to let the same tragedies repeat, they move back to 1996—not to be heroes, but to be a strike team.
They aren't here for the "Greater Good" or the Headmaster’s permission. Armed with an intense, haunting connection they don't fully understand and eight years of post-war spite, they have one mission: free Sirius, purge the Ministry, and burn the old games to the ground. If they happen to get rid of Voldemort for good along the way, it’s merely a side bonus.
They didn't come back to save the world. They came back to overwrite it.

Summary
If Harry had to guess which out of he or his Auror Partner, and tentative new friend, Draco Malfoy, would turn out to have Veela ancestry, his answer would be: neither, because that is ridiculous. Finding out the answer is actually him, and that his Veela heritage is wreaking havoc on his ability to work, sleep, and above all be in the same room as Malfoy, is a surprise to say the least. But this is fine. Harry’s been through worse, and he can just sit this one out, regardless of how much his body is screaming for the one person he doesn’t want to ask for help. Can’t he?
