The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

Small story that was stuck in my brain and kept me from sleeping so I had to write it down. It's only very, VERY slight Qiushulin, please forgive me. (More like Qiuyuan silently yearning as he loves to do lol): Qiuyuan gets saves by Jingran in the desert and makes some surprising discoveries when talking to the man.
“But I do care if some idiots think they have the right to waltz into our area and hunt down whatever they please. Gotta teach them a lesson.” The stranger smirked.
“But they are from the ISA. Do you want to draw Mingting’s scorn on you?”
“Mingting?”, the man scoffed loudly as if Qiuyuan had just insulted his entire family, “Who gives a fuck about them? They couldn’t find us, even if they wanted to.
