    Summary

"When you have an option to do the right thing, do you take the risk?"

There's a special type of stupidity that comes with the DeCruise family name.
And, unfortunately for fate, Avery is a prime example of it.
Most recently, that stupidity has surfaced, in the form of breaking into a house to save someone he barely knows- but who he's dead certain he needs.

And there's not a single bone in his body telling him to turn back now.
    But things tend to happen.

Or, in which a house is broken into, mirrors shatter under gazes, and the gates might not be closed just yet.

    Summary

Guest 666 didn’t mean to spare them. It was supposed to be a quick, clean feed. To leave one corpse alone in the dark, forgotten by morning. But something about the mortal gave it pause. Their hesitation. Their warmth. The way they didn’t run fast enough.

Now, the vampire can’t stop thinking about them.

Noob keeps coming back, half out of curiosity and half because they have a feeling that the vampire might be just as lonely as they are. It turns from fear to fixation, from silence to something that almost feels like trust. But trust doesn’t mean safety. Not when there are other vampires observing. Not when the threats start to present themselves.

What they make won't last. Because, in the end, something always breaks.

    Summary

The seconds stretched long and taut between them, the storm hissing powerfully in the background. Noob stood frozen with a hand still on the doorknob, the chill from the outside air seeping into their skin and nestling in their veins. The figure remained perfectly halted, head bowed, water dripping steadily from their cap onto the welcome mat.

Something about them looked familiar. The slope of their shoulders. The way their arms hung close to their sides. The quiet tension in their posture. The silence that hung around them like a second skin.

Their head was hung low, hidden beneath the shadow of their cap, so Noob couldn’t make out any of their features. But even without a clear view, something about them felt… peculiar. It wasn’t until their eyes flicked to the avatar’s sweater that Noob realized the Guest branding. It was a small detail, but it made the figure feel familiar in a strange way. A way that made their stomach churn.

or: on a stormy night, a mysterious robloxian appears at noob's doorstep. they seem like a stranger, yet something about them feels so achingly... familiar.

    Summary

Roman blinked at Janus. Janus raised a brow. A minute went by.

“Well, this was a lovely conversation,” Janus said, moving to close the door. Roman lurched forward.

“Wait!” Roman cried, catching the door before it was shut, “I-uh. I came to ask for a favor, I think.”

Janus regarded him like he was an errant piece of lint. But he hadn’t closed the door on Roman again so Roman continued, “I need-”

“My, slow down there. Who ever said I was willing to grant a free favor?”

Right. That made sense. Which was saying something because not much was making sense to Roman at the moment. “Uh. What do you want in return?” he asked.

Janus shrugged a single shoulder and angled his face up at Roman, “I’d have to hear what you want first.”

Janus was being frustrating on purpose, Roman knew that. Normally Roman would take the bait.

Today, though, Roman just looked Janus in the eyes. Janus’s eyebrow twitched, though the rest of his expression remained neutral. Roman took a breath.

“I need you to tell me if I’m lying to myself.”

    -

When a chilling realization nearly sends Roman spiraling, he turns to an unlikely source for help.
