Lysandra Vanserra era todo lo que la Corte de Otoño no parecía ser, ella era la chispa rebelde que rechazaba las cadenas de las expectativas familiares. Lo único que quería era algo mucho más simple y, al mismo tiempo, infinitamente más complicado: que su familia estuviera unida.
Lysandra se había convertido en la mediadora. Siempre observando, siempre intentando reparar lo que podía. Había aprendido a manejarse entre las sombras de su familia, temporalmente, a mantener cierta paz entre sus hermanos. Había un lado de ella que chocaba constantemente con la rigidez de la Corte de Otoño, su rebeldía no era abierta ni impulsiva. Esa resistencia silenciosa era su forma de mantener su identidad intacta en un lugar que devoraba la voluntad de cualquiera que se atreviera a desafiarlo. Ella sabía que su deseo de ver a sus hermanos unidos era una causa perdida. Pero ella se aferraba a esa pequeña llama de esperanza. Ella se negaba a dejarlo morir.
