    Summary

Thirteen years ago when Jiang Cheng first dabbled in the dark arts, he had been coreless and desperate. With nothing but a voice and song, he dredged up corpses from their graves, pulling them from their endless slumber. Only–the dead aren’t meant to wake, and Jiang Cheng's never been much of a prodigy. Resentment proved to be no different. He lost control and tipped his sinful self into oblivion—Wei Wuxian's sword embedded in the rock beside him, and Nie Huaisang's torn body splayed out on the dirt before him.

Thirteen years later, he reincarnates via some obscure sacrificial ritual. The total nut job whose body he now occupies leaves him behind with scars and a single line of instruction. Surprise surprise, Jiang Cheng meets a certain pair of brothers who rope him into their sect and drag him off to Gusu. He gets out of it though. Unfortunately for him, he’s met with a few more unsavory figures from his past along the way.

God this was sad, even sadder if you read the prequal fic before it (number 2 in the series). Why do I like to make myself suffer? This hurt. A lot. Anyways, still an awesome fic if the pace was a little fast and not all the backstory was ever explained. This was super sad so read at your own risk and I am gonna do a little cry now. Sad kudos.

Re-read July/13/26: Okay so this was not the prequel to anything or at least I don't think it was? I didn't read them one after the other so that was probably why... Anyways it was super sad and I hated it and yet loved it at the same time. Fantastic fic, also the writer mentioned they are in AP Bio??!? Are they in highschooler and writing shit this good?? God, I wish I was this good back then.

    Summary

"‘Cure’ is a misnomer. It implies a solution. This is more… an equation. A balancing of scales, add and take to an equilibrium. Two halves. It’s simple; Jiang Cheng gives, and Wei Wuxian takes.
It’s not unsustainable. Not quite… harmful, the way it would be for other people; no, not for them. Jiang Cheng is able to heal what would kill anyone else; get back chunks in his stomach or even his neck within minutes. Wei Wuxian doesn’t know how it happened, that they would fit together so well, but for every bite Wei Wuxian takes, all Jiang Cheng needs is a bit of water and time to grow it back."

Or: Wei Wuxian has a flesh eating curse, and Jiang Cheng a flesh regenerating one. This could only go one way.

“You’re such an asshole,” he says, “you’ll coach me through fucking you, but you won’t bother to coach me skating?”
Does your promise mean nothing to you?
Wei Wuxian sighs, heavy - Jiang Cheng feels it where they’re pressed together, skin to skin, the way his chest rises and falls and the way his shoulders tense and then relax.
Then he rasps, “Oh, even after all these years, you still haven’t grown up one bit, have you?”

Or: Up and coming skating star Jiang Cheng's senior debut is disrupted when the man who promised to be his coach, legend of skating Wei Wuxian, leaves. He goes searching for him, to find the man who is his inspiration and to find answers, and gets a lot more than he bargained for.

Well, well, well. I am here again. Another blank bookmark box for another great fic. So this one was absolutely incredible and I am so not okay and I hate when fics make me get up to get tissues. I should always have a tissue box nearby for the amount of times I cry reading fics lol. I really connected to Jiang Cheng here and he just felt so real. WWX is an absolute asshole and while he is a great character still I can't help but kinda hate him here. This fic, for how great it was, was kind of hard to follow. I was always confused on what the timeline was so I am afraid that does bring it down quite a bit but it was still a masterpiece of sadness and feels.

Re-read July/11/26: I knew what this fic was gonna do to me and yet I read it anyways. This was extremely painful for both me and Jiang Cheng. I have never understood him this well and his emotions are flying off the page. This was an excellent fic and I loved it wholeheartly even if it dug its sharp claws in my heart.

    Summary

"There's one thing that rips out a jugular that clean. It's not a heavenly demon, it's not a full blooded demon— there's not a potent enough energy signature. It's feeding off qi. It's rare enough that they sent me to deal with it and felt like I needed a little knight in shining tin foil to protect me."
    "Oi—"
"Face it." Jiang Cheng murmurs, face drawing close. "What is the one monster that comes to mind?"
Liu Qingge swallows dryly. He knew it too, when he'd been playing with the idea of it a week ago on the assignment. What had all those things in common?
"But… Vampires are not classified as a demon."
"I never said it was a demon; I said it was a monster."
    --

OR the one where Liu Qingge is a modern cultivator and Jiang Cheng is part of the board of directors at Cang Qiong Sect. They have to solve a murder case together... Only, the suspect isn't the only one with secrets...

This was the cat's meow of fics. It was absolutely incredible and I loved it all. It made me feel all the feelings and was so gooey and warm and angsty and tough and I loved it wholeheartedly. This is a masterpiece and I just couldn't stop reading it. SO MANY KUDOSSS!

Re-read July/7/26: I have never re-read something so quickly I don't think but it was well worth it. This fic is fantastic and I was hankering for some good vampire Jiang Cheng!
