Summary
The miracle was mysterious. Who would have guessed that when her triplets touched their new doors, large and expansive magical rooms lay behind them? And then, the magic settled upon the children! Pepa, her beautiful firecracker, was radiating with sunshine! Actual sunshine! Within a few hours, Bruno's eyes had glowed. She was certain he had been possessed it was so frightening. But then he spouted what they soon discovered was a prophecy. Her darling boy could see the future! Oh yes, and there was Julieta. Calm and steady, quiet and excited about her siblings' new magic. But what about her? She couldn't create weather. She couldn't see the future. She couldn't seem to do anything magical. Her room was...ordinary. Like her. It was still a brand new room, all for herself. Alma had never had that as a child. But the miracle had decided two children with magic was enough. And Alma couldn't hide the fact that she was relieved.
A story about how, of all the magical Madrigals, Julieta may have had a unique understanding of Mirabel's feelings following the disappearance of her door.

Mirabel has friends with the traders that travel in, and toxic living situations are easier to see from the outside in. After being gifted one too many therapy books, and told she could come with them anytime she wished. Mirabel finally sees her family isn't doing well. But she is knowledgeable enough to know she can't fix this herself, they have to do it. So she secretly tells Antonio that she plans to go on a pilgrimage out of Encanto, he gets her to stay until his gift ceremony. And before the dawn lights the sky Mirabel spirits herself away to go on her journey to heal the unseen wounds of being seen as the worthless one has caused and find genuine love along the way.

Summary
There's more to the Madrigal family than just magical Gifts. Everyone has their own skills, but Mirabel's are often overlooked as the town usually only sees the physical disabilities she was born with.
(This still takes place in the Encanto valley, but it's a present-day timeline so technology and such would mostly match what we have now.)

Summary
In the collapse of Castia, it is assumed that the Candle and the Magic are gone and Mirabel is pronounced dead. A week later, Mirabel appears at the church where her family is staying and is covered in dirty, cuts and strange markings around her body. While her family grapples with this new revelation they struggle and desperately cling to what little they have of Mirabel that is left before she is gone again.
