    Prompt: au where Bucky was Tony's childhood stuffed bear turned human.

    The man reached behind himself to try and touch the scar. “Howard didn’t want you to have me any more, so he took me away, but you found me. When he found out though, you both fought over me, and my arm was ripped. You screamed and tried to hit Howard, but Jarvis grabbed you. When you calmed down, he showed you how to fix my arm.” The man smiled over his shoulder at Tony. “This is from you. You fixed me, and Howard never tried to take me away again.”

    Tony didn’t say anything. He was a man of logic and reason. Unless he were to believe that someone had been spying on him his whole life to pull off this particular prank, he was hard pressed to find an explanation for how the man in front of him knew what he did. He considered a few scientific theories to explain his teddy bear turning into a human, and even let his mind toy with the idea of his teddy bear being an alien that could assume different forms.

    Truth be told, he had most likely suffered a mental breakdown.

    “Tony.” The man turned around. A look of concern was etched across his face. “I’m Bucky. You’ve figured that out, right?”

    Tony was a genius. He may have given up on ever finding his soul mate years ago, but that didn’t mean he was incapable of recognizing when his soul mate was standing right in front of him.

    Tony had a glowing lightning bolt on his back. If his soul mate wasn’t the god of thunder himself, then Tony would praise Hammer Tech.

    Bucky’s ears flicked atop his head. He clenched his teeth and fought down the growl in his throat. “Just a little bit.”

    “Anything I can help with?”

    “Unless you know some way to get Tony out of one of his introverted moods, no.”

    Tony's been away on business for a week, and Bucky really wants to give Tony his much needed time and space to recharge. Unfortunately, Bucky's hindbrain will not be pacified by logic and empathetic reasoning.

    It officially sucked being smarter than everyone.

    Tony pouted and hugged his legs to his chest as the jagged ocean rocks poked into his ass and made it difficult for him to brood properly.

    He knew he should be happy to be smart–being smart was a good thing–but at times like these he wished he was normal.

    “Why are you all the way out here and not with the others?” a voice asked.

    Tony jumped in his spot. He looked around in search of the owner of the voice.

    Two hands appeared on the edge of the rock and a brunet boy around Tony’s age popped his head over the rock. His hair was soaked and flopped into his face. With a roguish grin, the boy pushed his sopping hair out of his face and wiggled up onto the rock more. He rested his weight on his arms. “It looks like all the fun is over there.”
