“What the hell?” Daniel glared. “You’ve never made me do that before.”
“There wasn’t a line before.” Armand grabbed the iPad that was slung over his shoulder.
“There’s no line now!” Daniel gestured to the store. Sure a few people were browsing, but very distinctly no line.
“It’s a virtual line, Mr. Molloy.”

“I'm old enough to do a lot of things,” Daniel steps in closer with a cocky little smirk. He's almost taller than Armand, but has a way of twisting his body until he's looking up at him, putting himself into a submissive role. His heart rate speeds up. Armand wonders if he's aware that it's fear, not arousal, that makes his body react this way. Daniel's mind seems to be confused on the point.
Armand leans over Daniel's shoulder, looking at the array of handkerchiefs on display. “I see that.” He can feel Daniel's breath on his neck as he reaches over and pulls at the end of one of them, tugging it out. “What is this one for?” he asks, waiving it in front of Daniel's face. It's bright orange.
The boy shrugs, his grin even wider. Satisfied. “Anything goes. If you pay enough.”
Armand raises his eyebrows. “You shouldn't give people blanket permission to do anything they want to you. Some people are monsters.”

Daniel releases a shaky breath. He’s going to die here, isn’t he? Yeah. This vampire will kill him, and he’ll never even see its face. Never know its name. But he doesn’t regret his decision to seek out the one who made Louis, and he’d do it again. He wants it. Immortality. He wants it so damn much. Wants to live through centuries, learn everything, see how the world changes. He wants –
“You’re a fool,” a rich, resonant voice tells him from the heavy shadow in front of him. It’s not loud or raised, but it fills the space, that voice, smokey, curling around Daniel’s edges, seeping into his lungs as he breathes.
“Then I guess I’ll die a fool,” he croaks back. He grits his teeth against the pain beneath the pins and needles in his legs.
“I do not doubt it, boy,” the vampire responds.

Daniel Molloy should have taken waking up in a drug den as the warning it was. He didn't. This is what happened next.

"At least the stewardesses were pretty to look at. While the uniforms had gotten undeniably prudish since the 70's, there was something about the knee-length sky blue skirts and dainty little neck handkerchiefs that piqued his red-blooded american interest.
One of them was certainly a looker, long shapely legs with curves that the modest skirt couldn't quite hide, a head full of teased black curls. The stewardess was bent down so she could speak to one of the passengers and thus Daniel got a full glean of her backside. When she stood upright, he was surprised to find she was deceptively tall. He hadn't even seen the broad’s face yet but Daniel was still chomping at the bit. God, it had been a hot minute since he last got laid.”
