Mairon was not the Maia the stories make him out to be. He was not a creature that went willingly beneath the Great Enemy’s Yoke, the Hated Sauron, the Master of Malice, the Great Deciever with his pretty, silver words.
Mairon was a Maia who remained loyal and was taken anyway, into the depths of a hell made of iron, and made to submit.
Unfortunately for all involved, he did not remain the only one stolen.

AKA: The Grannies strike back. Hermione joins the Knitting Guild of the Wizarding World and discovers that there are those out there more powerful than Voldemort, Dumbledore or the Ministry. This is a short, silly story of how the ancient matriarchs of the Wizarding world take on Voldemort and win, then reform the world in their image, that is to say, far better mannered of course.
