    Surge has officially joined the Diamond Cutters but she’s making no effort to fit in. The rest of the team wants to change that.

    Plot relevant smut every few chapters but plenty of chapters are dedicated to non-sexual character interaction and development.

    The Smut chapters will feature a warning and a recap in the notes, if you just want the plot.

    This isn’t as polished as it could be. If I try to make it perfect I’ll never finish it. Ignore the typos/grammar mistakes.

    Something was inside her. Fused with her. She felt it moving with her, a jumbled mess in her head as it sent signals for her.
    Her claws dug into her skin. Pain she could control.
    She gasped for air, noticing the panicked look on the lemur. She had been reaching out, but the wolf grabbed her hand.
    The bed burned from the electricity, the smoke making her eyes water.
    "H... help," she tried. Her voice hurt. Everything hurt. She could feel her own body working against her. "Help..."

    Surge gets reset.
    She wakes up.
    No one is happy.

    Summary

    With her partner left in critical condition, Whisper was resolved to finally bring an end to the one who was responsible; Mimic. She was used to working alone, but with the Restoration left in chaos and Mimic having access to Clutch's resources, she knew she was going to need help.

    Surge was furious, once again she was in someone's control, forced to do what Clutch told her to if she wanted to see Kit again. If she was going to slip the leash, she had to find someone who could work in the shadows.

    Forced to work together to accomplish their goals, the pair form a begrudging partnership, and find that they aren't quite so different after all.
