Alicent turns and looks at her daughter with a frown, not immediately understanding the meaning of her words. Helaena is gazing at the city, hands gripping at the banister with such strength that her knuckles are turning white. Before Alicent can ask anything, her daughter speaks again.
“We should leave,” repeats the young woman, voice gaining conviction. “You, me and Jaehaera. We should disappear where no one will find us. Far from their war and their greediness.”
Torn between respecting her deal with Rhaenyra and protecting her daughter, Alicent makes a decision that changes the entire course of the Dance.

Bellatrix’s smile faltered, just slightly... then returned sharper, like the glint of a blade.
"I think about you when I kill," she said. "I wonder what face you'd make watching me do it."
Robin's breath hitched like she'd been struck.
Bellatrix didn't blink, she cocked her head to the side, observing. Before she spoke she let her tongue trace the edge of her teeth, very slowly.
"Sometimes I slow down, just for you."
A shudder rippled down Robin's spine. And she surged forward.
