Sometimes nervousness feels like nausea, like something that so desperately needs to come out before you, in some capacity, begin to feel better. It doesn’t always make sense, comes in waves, and is a generally indeterminate experience. Emotion. Something. Whatever it is, it’s come at the wrong time. It’s unwelcome, at best.
Sebastian hopes the subtle shake that plagues his hands isn’t noticeable. He hopes, perhaps even prays, his face doesn’t betray him either. He’s sure there’s something there —a level of uncertainty the only certainty— but he hopes it doesn’t come off as the fear he’s truly feeling.

Summary
There was a time when Sam and Sebastian were best friends. Sam remembers everything like it happened yesterday; Sebastian can't remember most of his childhood, memories fogged by his constant state of fight or flight. But for some reason Sam doesn't mind this --doesn't mind the bitter person Sebastian has grown into-- and promises that no matter how long it takes, he will wait. Apparently he's not the only one that feels that way about him either.
