“Why are you telling me this?” Rozanov said. “You never talk about girls. I never hear these things about you.”
“I’m -“ Fuck. Shane was trying to explain. Rozanov used this moment to push deeper into Shane. How was he meant to be able to think now?
“You fucked her?” Rozanov said. “She did something different when you fucked and -“
“No. You fucked her,” Shane snapped. “Or at least …” He trailed off, struck dumb by the look on Rozanov’s face. He looked…happy? Delighted? He wasn’t smiling, exactly, but his eyes were dancing.
“We fucked same girl,” Rozanov said, carefully. “This is…Wow, Hollander.”
“No, um, I didn’t fuck her. Just made out or whatever. But she told me - Jesus - she told me she had hooked up with you before. It was…i don’t know. Wait, what are you doing?”

Summary
“You are planning to rob me or what?” He hears Rozanov call, and he can’t help but smile slightly even as he rolls his eyes, closing the door to the linen closet and feeling strangely lighter than when he opened it, reassured that he’s just trying to read into a blank page, that today doesn’t mean anything more than Rozanov doesn’t mind him being around, which is strangely flattering.
“I don’t know,” he calls back. “Don’t Russians like diamonds and fur and stuff? Where should I start looking if I want to know what my options are?”
He hears Rozanov laugh, and it makes him smile.
When he joins him in the living room once more, Rozanov tugs him down to lean against him again. Shane goes easier this time, settling into it, knowing it doesn’t mean anything other than the fact that he just happens to be the closest warm body, the person on Rozanov’s roster who filled today’s slot.

Summary
“There is this club. Here in Boston. It is queer club, but secret. No phones, sign NDA beforehand. The cover charge is high, so is more– more exclusive.” He says this nonchalantly, gesturing to the air. He looks up and makes eye contact with Shane. “We could go.” Shrugs. “Together.”
Shane stares at him, mouth open slightly. He waits for the punchline, like Rozanov is setting up some ridiculous joke. Rozanov just stares back at him, almost as if he isn’t breathing. It takes Shane a second to realize that he is being serious, and the earnestness of the invitation nearly brings him to his knees.
“Ilya Rozanov,” Shane grins. “Are you asking me out on a date?”
