Katsuki is in heat. And damnit- that is the one week a month he absolutely dreads since he hates anything that brings attention to his secondary gender. But that's why he's grateful for Izuku. Doesn't treat him like some fragile omega. Treats him like Kacchan. Strong, hardheaded, loud- unlike the average omega.
So it was pretty obvious who the best choice of roommate was whenever Katsuki got his own place. An alpha that respects Katsuki's boundaries and his scent would fend off other annoying alphas.
Katsuki hardly has partners help him through his heat. He usually suffers alone, spending nearly the entire duration in his room, stubborn, uncomfortable, and desperate.
