"Don’t cause a scene.” Shane keeps his voice below a whisper, eyes locked on the neckline of Ilya’s practice jersey as he places a hand on his belly. “I think my water just broke or-or I pissed myself- or- I don’t- I don’t know, but I think my contractions today have been real.” Ilya immediately stiffens, lifting his head and looking around with desperate whips of his head from side to side. “Stop– you’re making a scene, stop. Shane stared at him. “Done?”

“With hockey. You’re serious?”
